From Lisl: We arrived in Venice so exhausted with 2 and half days of flying over to get to Italy! Mum and Dad were waiting for us at airport to catch boat to get over the island, I was like hope its not too far away! Then catch a bus to get to hotel but end up going around on wrong bus! So hard for mum and dad to know where is the hotel as it was very dark around I feel it was 12am! Finally we got to our hotel and straight to sleep ready for our big day touristy in lido island. We had very nice breakfast to fill us up but we were still jeg lagged! Caught a bus to catch a ferry boat to get to main island – No cars anywhere! It was cold day when we got to main island, walked around and around and looked at shops and window shopping. Very beautiful scentary. Went on a boat around island. I had my first Italian pizza! It was huge and no sliced cut out! Had to use knife to cut the pizza! First we had to work out which bus to catch to get back to our hotel! End up wrong bus again! It was 11kms long! While we were on wrong bus, saw the beach with little hut that u have to pay to use the beach! Very odd! Back at hotel and rest! We did our last day of touristy thing on main island – went to murano island to watch glass blowing at factory, it was very beautiful glasses, but very expensive to buy even than on main island. Went back to our hotel finally went on right bus! Then went out to a bar – supposed to be dinner but end up drinking and weren't hungry for dinner but dad was! Had to find other place for dad to have his dinner! Next day ready to for a drive but I was quite sick with hangover! Bloody red wine! Drove all way to gubbio it was 550kms all way. First we stopped at Ravenna for a wander around and food! Then finally arrived at gubbio, beautiful little village and our hotel was lovely but very tiny rooms! Went for a wander around village, lots lots of beautiful little cars like mine but very tricky to drive in village as it was very narrow little streets! Stopped for dinner and it was awful and strange dinner! I was supposed to have roast beef with potatoes but I got was cold and sliced beef with fries! Mum and dad were very stress and trying to plan where to go and what is best to go! Nxt day had breakfast then us girls wander on our own and decided to hike all the way up top! It was quite a hike! One and half hr of walk then took lifts down! Mum and dad took lift up to top then walked down! Lazy! Then set for a drive down to Fabriano to see Poppa's family where he stayed during world war 2. beautiful old lady with no english!! still look good for her age! She had her english speaking friend for us, spend all afternoon with her. Then went to visit where her son works but he was busy so there was other person and had wine tasting his wine. Then head back home. Had drinks next couple doors down in a bar owned by crazy italian man! Then I wasnt not that hungry for dinner so had fries. Nxt day finally had internet working so was able to check my emails and replied to my friends. Then got ready to head down to ciampino which is near by Roma, we didnt drive in roma as heard too difficult to drive in. we settled down in our hotel then got ready to go Roma, first we boarded on train cost us 1.30 euro each, then didnt realise it was huge train station!! I had to be careful with my bag! But really It was fine...but still never know. Then got information to know what to do and where to start! Got train ticket for metro and cost us 6 euros for the day. First got out of traint to city – we were like umm where to start??? first we need food for energy! So head to mc donalds!! then walked down big street where lots lots of beautiful shops! Beautiful leathers jacket, shoes, bags clothes etc. walked all way to look at romans – very old and some are falling apart. Then caught train back to station back home so tired! Stopped shoes shop and mum and dad went supermarket to get some cheese, wine and biscuits as werent not up for dinner! So relaxed on couch and eating eating – the cheese was so goood! And plan our trip. Next day we recharged our energy and I had red bull! Ready for big walk around!! got home around 8pm! Long day! Was glad for a sleep in nxt day! But I didnt! Got up around 8am and went on internet! I didnt like their hotel breakfast – such small breakfast! Dad and sian went roma early morning for vatican muesum which included the sistene chapel! Mum, scarlett and I were all ready at our hotel by 11am but we wait and waited and waited till 1 or 2pm for dad and sian get back hotel to ready go san gim, - me again in front of the car! Drove all the way on motorway! Saw two motorbike accident! No wonder the speed limit is 130kms! Too fast! We are now at a very beautiful town, called San Giamignano,our hotel was very beautiful and very cosy, lots of big space. we walked around on our own then meet up for drink! Sian and I had a bottle of bubbles – it was very nice bubbles and mum had some! Then went to a restaurant for dinner that mum picked.

Had sleep in! Didnt realise it was 9am!! had a very nice breakfast – thought it was small but it wasn't. Lots of choice for breakfast. Then got ready for a drive to countryside Siena, Mum made a mistake as she wanted to see the countryside – two and half hours of drive! Then back home it was only 30mins drive! All of them had best italian food for lunch but I didnt as I thought it tasted strong and fishy....mine was herbs, cheese and lemon pasta, others had yummy pastas. Then wandered around and went to the square where the horses races twice a year, no saddles! Very dangerous it was raced on cobbles stones. Walked back to our car back to san gimo for a last wander around but wasnt much to see and got pizza take out, but wasted half of pizza and drinking wines relaxing at the hotel. Ready for nxt day to catch bus at 8am to frenzia for a day trip.
